Situated along the Great Ocean Road, approximately 2 and a half hours from Melbourne, Apollo Bay is an ideal spot for your next holiday. Apollo Bay Recreation Reserve is located just outside of central Apollo Bay, beside the football oval and alongside the Bahram River. There are a variety of spacious, family and dog friendly camping locations, with some located right on the Barham River or along the footy oval. The park is just across the road from the beach.
Clean and basic amenities are available at Apollo Bay Recreation Reserve. Walk into town and explore all Apollo Bay has to offer, or relax in the park, the choice is yours. It's less than 1km to the town centre, cafes and restaurants and 9 hole golf course providing the perfect place to explore the town and surrounds.
A short walk across the Great Ocean Road takes you to the lovely swimming, surfing and fishing beach of Mounts Bay and great river fishing is right on our doorstep.
Don’t leave your furry friend at home, dogs are welcome year-round.
When you stay at our Great Ocean Road Parks, your camping fees not only go into maintaining the campground, they are also reinvested back into the magnificent Great Ocean Road coastline in which you are staying. Your fees will go towards maintaining a wide range of public facilities, assets and infrastructure and other coastal projects.
Bring your Pooch! We love dogs at Apollo Bay Recreation Reserve and just like any other family member, they are welcome all year round. View our Dog and Animal Policy
Campfires are allowed at Apollo Bay Recreation Reserve, please contact park office for campfire guidelines.
