The seasonal Wye River Beachfront Campground is an ideal place to relax and unwind from the stresses of daily life. Enjoy the fresh sea air and listen to the waves rolling in as you settle in for the evening.
With beach and mountains as your backdrop, Wye River is a picturesque camping spot. Located right on the beach and just 20 minutes from Lorne, or 35 minutes from Apollo Bay, it's an easy drive to enjoy your beachside holiday.
With only 60 powered and 4 unpowered sites, the campground is a cosy place to stay. We are just a small campground so it's a good idea to reserve your place early.
Conveniently located across the road from the general store and café and walking distance to the famous Wye River Hotel, you'll be able to grab your essentials and settle in.
If you're looking to get back to nature, enjoy beautiful beaches, the Otway Forest walks, wildlife spotting, fishing and excellent surfing - you've come to the right spot.

When you stay at our Great Ocean Road Parks, your camping fees not only go into maintaining the campground, they are also reinvested back into the magnificent Great Ocean Road coastline in which you are staying. Your fees will go towards maintaining a wide range of public facilities, assets and infrastructure and other coastal projects.

The seasonal Wye River Beachfront Campground is the perfect place to base yourself for an active holiday or just lazing away on the beach. The surf club is located adjacent to the campground providing a safe swimming and fishing environment - or even diving for those of you who are more adventurous with crayfish and abalone to be found if you have the correct license.
