Wye River Beachfront Campground is a peaceful campground offering a true escape along the Great Ocean Road. Perfect for switching off and slowing down, this beachfront camping spot lets you fall asleep to the sound of the waves and wake to fresh sea air and stunning coastal views.

Set between the ocean and the Otway Ranges, Wye River is a picturesque destination for nature lovers. Located right on the beach, the campground is just 20 minutes from Lorne and 35 minutes from Apollo Bay, making it an easy base for exploring the central Great Ocean Road while enjoying a quieter, more relaxed setting.

With 60 powered sites and 4 unpowered campsites, clean and accessible amenities, and convenient camp kitchen, laundry and BBQs, Wye River Beachfront Campground offers a cosy, low-key camping experience. As a small and popular campground, early bookings are recommended, especially during peak periods.

The campground is conveniently positioned opposite the Wye River General Store and café and within walking distance of the iconic Wye River Hotel, making it easy to pick up essentials or enjoy a relaxed meal without needing to drive.

For those looking to reconnect with nature, the area offers beautiful swimming and surfing beaches, Otway Forest walks, wildlife spotting, fishing, and excellent surf conditions. The Wye River Beach in front of the park is perfect for families and is patrolled during summer. Whether you’re planning an active outdoor holiday or a laid-back beach escape, Wye River delivers a memorable coastal camping experience.

If you are travelling the Great Ocean Road with your pet, dogs are welcome seasonally on our dog-friendly campsites.
